Commission of Inquiry - final steps

The Commission of Inquiry will hold a closing hearing on the morning of Wednesday 30 August, 2023 at 10:00am.

The hearing will be at TASCAT, 38 Barrack Street Hobart.

Commissioners Marcia Neave, Leah Bromfield and Robert Benjamin will deliver the Commission's closing address.

Please note, there will be no new evidence heard at the hearing.

The hearing will be recorded and available on the Commission's website afterwards.

ABC Radio Hobart's Tasmania Mornings program will broadcast the hearing on delay, from about 10:25am.

Members of the public are welcome to attend. Please note seating in the hearing room will be limited.

The Commission of Inquiry will hand its report to the Governor of Tasmania on 31 August, 2023.

Its work is then concluded and the Commission will end.

As required by the Act the report must be tabled in Parliament within 10 Parliamentary sitting days. The Governor may omit part of the report in certain circumstances.

Once tabled in Parliament, the report will be published on the Commission of Inquiry website.
