COVID-safe hearings

The hearings will be held at the Mövenpick Hotel Hobart, at 28 Elizabeth Street, Hobart.

They are scheduled to run daily between 10.00am and 4.00pm, Wednesday 7 to Tuesday 13 September.

Please be prepared to show your proof of vaccination status on arrival.

Masks should also be worn on site.

The health, safety and wellbeing of the community and Commission staff is the highest priority of the Commission. The Commission conducting its hearings in accordance with its COVID-19 Vaccination Policy (PDF, 125.7 KB)

All individuals (including witnesses, lawyers, members of the public and media) must be fully vaccinated, as defined in the Vaccination Policy, in order to attend the hearings in person. Attendees must show proof of their vaccination status upon entry into the hearing venues and to a Commission staff member upon request.

The Commission is also conducting its hearings in accordance with any relevant directions made under the Public Health Act 1997 (Tas). Under those Directions, or at the Commission’s discretion as a condition of entry to the hearings, face masks may be required to be worn at the hearing venues.

Due to the need to conduct the hearings in accordance with COVID-safe practices, the Commission may limit the number of people in the hearing room.
